First of all, I just want to give a shot out to all my friends out here in blog land and ask that you keep it on the down low that I've become a blogger :-)
Well, last weekend was the inaugural Provo Half Marathon. I had three of my boys race their first half. They did awesome! This weekend is the inaugural Utah Valley Marathon. It starts up at Bridal Vail at 6am. It's going to be a cold start and a slow long training day for me.... Next weekend is the Bonneville  Shoreline Marathon. I've never ran this one before but it looks pretty tough. 3100 feet of gain within the first 10 miles. The fast guys will be finishing this one in just under 5 hours.
Well, that's how the next couple of weeks look for me. I'm trying to throw down some long runs now so I can lay down some speed and mountain hills in leading into Squaw Peak June 1st. John sent out an email this last week saying that the course is going to look like it did 3 years ago. I personally think it's going to be worse. I'm anticipating at least 10 miles of snow on the course. Yeah... that sucks! I was really wanting to PR this year and come in under 9:30 for my five year but it's not looking good.
Sam called me yesterday and invited me to run a 50k out in Seattle in May. I may just take him up on that invite.
